James Preston
Biography
James is an East Midlands artist with a strong musical and arts background. He lives close to open countryside where he can study at close hand the changing seasons and their influence on the landscape. His work in oils and watercolours has become recognised far and wide for the marvellous effects of light, particularly in woodland landscapes, a subject he knows so well. He exhibits throughout the country and now has a considerable following among private collectors. He has undertaken a number of commissions, both private and commercial, and his work has been published by several national companies. Further recognition was given to James’ talents when he recently received a nomination for the Fine Art Trade Guilds prestigious ‘Artist of the Year’ award.
